active Skin is an interactive, textile-covered interior surface with a soft touch feel, developed by Yanfeng Automotive Interiors. This surface is now able to display visual information and interact with vehicle passengers.

The project included the development of a concept and a design of an user interface and the development of interaction paradigms for this technology. Following this, an interactive software prototype was developed.

The activeSkin concept was presented at IAA 2017 in Frankfurt.
